Beautiful Kitchen Backsplash Ideas

One of the easiest ways to make a dramatic design impact in a kitchen is by going bold on the backsplash — or building an entire feature wall.

Why the Backsplash Matters

Hey there! Who needs some kitchen inspiration? One of the easiest ways to make a dramatic design impact in your kitchen is by going bold on the backsplash — or heck, doing an entire feature wall. If you are thinking about remodeling your kitchen, the backsplash needs to be both functional and stylish.

Function Meets Style

A backsplash has to stand up to daily cooking, splashes, and cleaning, so the material choice matters as much as the look. It can become quite overwhelming to narrow down the options when so many materials work beautifully in this spot.

Look Beyond the Big Box

Rather than defaulting to standard tile at the nearest big box store, scouring the internet for unique sources often turns up more interesting materials — from veined stone slabs to unexpected patterns that become the room's focal point.

The whole feature wall concept is our favorite design tip, by the way.
